My approach

Trust and understanding are necessary for effective technology.

I will listen to your problems, share your concerns, and understand your staff’s anxiety about change.

My relationship with your team is how I bring outsized value through my expertise as a technologist.

Typical Engagements

Organizational Guidance

You may not be ready to hire a full-time Chief Information Officer or Chief Technology Officer, but you know that having such a person’s advice is critical for where your organization is. I will understand your business, processes, and vision. I can also audit your existing technology, point out gaps, and come up with a strategic vision for the org.

Mentorship

When your employees level up, your organization’s effectiveness sky rockets. Yet, technical staff in small to mid-sized nonprofits often lack the mentorship needed to grow their skills and judgment. I offer 20+ years of experience in tech, education, and nonprofits to help your team members reach more of their potential.

Custom Solutions

If I can’t find off-the-shelf products that solve your problem, I can tell you what it would cost in time and resources to build and maintain a custom solution. I know what it takes to build web applications and data infrastructure from scratch as well as the tradeoffs if we use no-code and low-code options.

Due Diligence

I can save you time and money finding the right product for your organization. When you don’t know which tool is best for what you need, I can do the homework for you. I’ll try them out, gather opinions from staff, present my findings, and recommend one.
